"She's Doing WHAT?!"
This response feels quite common when you have a habit of making impulsive and radical decisions that tend to uproot your life every few years. I can't help it, though. I'm a manifesting generator.
I sat down for a virtual coffee with Laney (@alchemycreativeartstherapy) during one of my last few weeks in South America. When our conversation turned spiritual, Laney asked me about my human design. I had heard of the concept but never actually explored further. Boy, am I glad Laney brought this up.
After digging deeper, I learned I am a manifesting generator. This design type makes up approximately 32% of the human population; we aim to inspire, energize, and produce, but we are incapable of setting this energy into motion internally. Instead, we respond to external initiation, and are motivated by the satisfaction of building for others.
Human design theory gives direction to your body’s consciousness as a decision-making tool to connect more authentically with the Self. Its origins are rooted in Chinese divination, astrology, Kabbalah, chakra, and quantum physics. I first found comfort in spirituality in the Fall, when I needed to make sense of an energetic shift I experienced internally, but couldn’t articulate into words. Since then, I’ve explored various practices: tarot, energy healing, astrology, and now human design.
Interested in learning more about your human design? I used this site to determine my design type, then started sifting through information on Jovian Archive for self-research.
In this current season of life, I was so set on planting roots in California after traveling abroad. Since I arrived home last weekend, I’ve felt zero desire to settle down… I just want to keep exploring. The part of me who craves adventure and embraces curiosity was ignited while abroad, and she’s not yet ready to be tamed—so I’m celebrating her.
I will make my way through yet another few bucket list items: visit all 424 national parks in the United States and live in a van. I’ve never felt more certain about something so wild and unpredictable.
In these next few months, I’ll purchase a cargo van and transform it—DIY style—into my vision. I’ll work remotely from my home on wheels and spend my weekends exploring all of the national parks within our beautiful country; most of all, though, I’ll continue to learn more about myself and cultivate experiences that align with my growth.
Here’s to the next season ✨
